‘BARMEK’ SUMS UP RESULTS OF ITS ACTIVITY

The electric power company ‘Barmek-Azerbaijan’ following the principle of saving electric power has summed up the results of its activity for 5 months of 2003.The company’s press-service told AzerTac correspondent that for the mentioned period Barmek consumers have used 4,6 billion kwh of electric energy - 35 billion kwh in Baku and 1,1 kwh in Sumgait. The city of Baku, thus, has consumed 500 million kwh of energy more than within the same period of the last year. ‘Taking into account the severe and long-drawn winter’, said the ‘Barmek’’s press secretary Tanriverdy Mustafayev, ‘these figures may be considered as satisfactory’. As the ‘Barmek’ has taken over management of Sumgait network only this year, a comparative calculation has not been conducted.
