BP ANNOUNCES BURSARY PROGRAM FOR 2009
On November 11, the British oil company BP has announced a bursary program for 2009 to sponsor students of the Baku Oil Academy specializing in petroleum engineering and geological prospecting. The first scholars will be selected among first-year student currently enrolled in the mentioned specialties by January 10, 2009. According to Sue Adlam-Hill, BP-Azerbaijan Vice-President of HR, the objective is to encourage scholars to pursue careers in oil and gas disciplines. Selection, he added, will be made on the basis of admission score, academic achievements and personal skills.
