Brussels hosts concert in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan
Paris, May 10 (AZERTAC). Embassy of Azerbaijan to Belgium and Azerbaijan representation to NATO organized a classic music concert to mark the 88th birthday of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Brussels.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belgium Emin Eyyubov briefed the audience on national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life, political activity and services. The ambassador emphasized that the 20th anniversary of reestablishment of the Azerbaijan Republic is also celebrated this year and Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to the strengthening of Azerbaijan statehood is invaluable.
The music evening featured pieces by Azeri and European composers in the performance of Sabina Rakcheyeva, Azerbaijani violinist, soloist, concertmaster and a member of the European Cultural Parliament and Austrian pianist Fred Zangi.
Representatives of general public of Belgium, members of Belgian Parliament, diplomats and members of Azerbaijan and Turkish Diasporas attended the event.
