Carnevale di Roma to take place in Italy
Baku, February 26 (AZERTAC). The “Carnevale di Roma” will be held from February 26th until the 8th of March in Italy.
Compared to the first edition, which was held last year, there are many new activities to be seen and enjoyed.
The celebrations will officially start on Saturday 26th of February with a “Grand Procession”, the starting point of which is in the Piazza del Popolo and which will continue down the Via del Corso, thereby re-enacting the route of a horse race that used to take place in the past.
Piazza del Popolo will also be the backdrop of a carnival village, where jugglers and comedians will perform their street arts.
The events will not be limited to the Piazza del Popol alone, though. The Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Venezia and other less famous squares, both in the center of Rome and in the outskirts, will host some of the celebrations.
In case of bad weather some of the events will be moved indoors.
Some galleries and museums will host special exhibitions with a carnival theme.
