CEC: 17.96% of voters cast ballots in Qurultay elections by 10:00

17.96% of voters cast ballots as of 10:00 am in today’s election of Qurultay deputies in Kazakhstan, Qazinform News Agency reports.
According to Azamat Aimanakumov, a member of the Central Election Commission, 2,264,411 voters had received their ballots by this time.
The highest turnout is reported in Kyzylorda region – 22.91%, Karaganda region – 21.06% and Zhetysu region – 20.87%.
In Turkistan region and Shymkent city this figure stood at 20.39%, in Aktobe region – 20.28% and in Ulytau region – 19.41%.
The lowest voter turnout was recorded in Almaty – 9.96%.
In Astana voter’s turnout reached 17.01%, while Pavlodar region reported 15.98% and Mangystau region – 16.92%.
