Chief Justice of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court attends international conference in Seoul

A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, visited Seoul, South Korea, on September 16–18 to attend the 20th Conference of Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific.
The conference focused on the role of the judiciary, the use of artificial intelligence in the judicial and legal spheres, adapting judicial training and education to modern challenges, strengthening public confidence in courts, media relations, safeguarding judicial independence, and the development of arbitration.
Addressing the event, Inam Karimov briefed the participants on judicial and legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and the development of the country’s judicial system in response to modern challenges.
He also underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing challenges facing Azerbaijan’s judicial system.
During the visit, Karimov met with Cho Hee-dae, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Korea; Aigars Strupišs, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Latvia; Petr Angyalossy, President of the Supreme Court of Czechia; and Ömer Kerkez, President of the Court of Cassation of Türkiye.
The meetings focused on developing judicial and legal cooperation, expanding the exchange of expertise, adapting judicial systems to modern challenges, and prospects for further cooperation.
