CIS Heads of Government Council session held in Moscow

The heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have gathered for a meeting in the Skolkovo technopark in Moscow.
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov attended the meeting.
The CIS heads of government met in private before being joined by their delegations for an expanded gathering. The agenda of the meeting featured nearly 20 issues, including the CIS concept of cooperation in digital development of the society, the plan of priority action to it, and the CIS information security strategy.
Following the event, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and chairman of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting. They discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in economic and humanitarian areas.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev hailed Russia-Azerbaijan ties. He said the bilateral trade saw a 25-percent growth, describing it as the best indicator in Russia`s economic cooperation with the rest of CIS countries.
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov commended the Russian government for the excellent organization of the meeting of the CIS heads of government. He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-Russia cooperation would continue developing successfully. He welcomed a proposal to benefit from the opportunities offered by the Skolkovo technopark in the bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
