COMPETITION FOR PRESIDENCY IN AZERBAIJAN
The electoral campaign on the eve of the Presidential elections in Azerbaijan on October 15 is going on, According to the information in newspaper of Halq and Olaylar published in Azerbaijan, after the polls it became clear that Heydar Aliyev’s son - Ilham Aliyev is leading among 10 nominees with 61,7 percent of votes.
According to results of the poll held by an research organization under the name of Center of analytical information and polls Sel among 500 responders, Ilham Aliyev is followed by the only women-contender Lala Shovkat with 8.7 percent of votes. The leader of the main oppositional party Musavat Isa Gambar takes the fourth place with 7.4 percent of votes.
