Chief Executive of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) Shahmar Movsumov has given a conference for journalists, representing states-allies of the European Union Neighbor Policy program. The briefing was organized by the European Journalism Center on November 6.

Mr. Movsumov updated conference attendees on the role of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan in preservation of macroeconomic stability, realization of social and infrastructure projects and other issues. Other highlights of the conference included matters related to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), to inform and update the press on EITI implementation in Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by journalists from “Pravo” (Czech Republic), “Radio-4” (Estonia), “YLE TV” (Finland), “Der Tagesspiegel” (Germany), “Eleftherotypia” (Greece), “RTE TV”, “Newstalk/BBC” (Ireland), “SWH Radio” (Latvia), “De Telegraaf” (Netherlands), “Slovak Radio” (Slovakia).
