CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO CHINA HELD IN SCHOOL

A conference dedicated to the history and the present of the People’s Republic of China and attended by teaching staff and schoolchildren was held in Baku school No134. The conference was also attended by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Zhang Siun, Education Minister Misir Mardanov, rector of the Baku State University Abel Maharramov, members of the board of Azerbaijani-Chinese Friendship and Cooperation Society headed by academician, Milli Majlis deputy Jalal Aliyev.

The ambassador told of developing multilateral Azerbaijani-Chinese relations and stated of scheduled elective courses dedicated to the People’s Republic of China. During these courses, schoolchildren will learn Chinese language, history and culture of China.

The society’s executive secretary Rafig Abbasov updated on the work done towards dissemination of information on China, handed the congratulation letter addressed by chairman of the Society, academician, Milli Majlis deputy Jalal Aliyev to head of Society of Foreign Ties of China on the occasion of flight in the space of the first Chinese citizen.

The event was concluded by the concert of school ensemble.
