Croatia, Azerbaijan expand court-to-court cooperation
Baku, March 1 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev met with visiting President of the Supreme Court of Croatia Branko Hrvatin to discuss court-to-court cooperation.
Abdullayev told of the activity of the Constitutional Court. According to him, much attention is paid to international ties of the Constitutional Court taking into account the experience of various countries and international organizations. He briefed Hrvatin that the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan is a full member of the Confederation of European Constitutional Courts.
Abdullayev noted he had met with representatives of the Croatian Constitutional Court at various events. He said the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has totally adopted precedents of the European Court of Human Rights.
Hrvati, for his part, pointed out the Constitutional Court of Croatia actively utilizes practices of the European Court of Human Rights. He noted the Croatian Court places particular importance to cooperation with its Azerbaijani counterparts.
