Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery due in Baku
Baku, August 20 (AZERTAC). An action under the motto "Person is not on sale" will take place in Baku on August 23. It is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery.
.The Members of Parliament, representatives of the international organizations, embassies of foreign countries in Azerbaijan, etc. will take part in action.
The action with two symbols "Blue Heart" and "The Blue Tape" will take place at the initiative of public organizations with support of Internal Ministry`s department on struggle against human traffic.
The slavery, human traffic is unprecedented tragedy and one of the blackest pages of human history.
In spite of the fact that the slavery has been cancelled and condemned at the international level, it still exists in new forms and touches today upon millions persons all over the world.
According to the United Nations, every year millions people, basically women and children, become victims of deceit and violence, and are exploited.
