DELEGATION OF ASTRAKHAN PROVINCE MEETS REPRESENTATIVES OF NATIONAL COMMUNITIES OF AZERBAIJAN
Baku, August 4 (AZERTAC). Members of delegation of the Astrakhan Province of the Russian Federation - representatives of Coordination Council of the Organization of Compatriots Abroad and journalists met with representatives of national communities of Azerbaijan in the Russian information-cultural center in Baku.
The head of Representation of Rossotrudnichestva in Azerbaijan Anver Sheikhov warmly welcomed visitors and noted that the representatives of Russian, Tatar and Avar communities of Azerbaijan attended the meeting.
The head of delegation, the vice-president of the Government of the Astrakhan Province Tatiana Yusupova spoke of the long-term Program of support of the compatriots living abroad, about the meetings held in Baku. The key goal of visit of the Astrakhan delegation is strengthening of cultural contact between the Astrakhan Province of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan, she stressed.
According to her, the program of cultural cooperation for 2010-2015 includes exchange of creative collectives, conducting the Days of Culture, the Olympiads, permits on treatment of children-invalids of Astrakhan, and also a quota on training of the Azerbaijani students in colleges and higher schools.
The Astrakhan journalists - winners of “The Caspian Dream” competition on return are going to shoot a film - “Baku in the Eyes of Astrakhanis”.
The chairperson of the Republican society of solidarity of the people of Azerbaijan “Sodruzhestvo” Tatiana Karimova, the chairwoman of the Tatar community Guljan Mesautova, the chairman of the Avar community Magomed Isayev spoke of the activity of the organizations representing national minorities of the country.
