Delegation of Romania`s leading party visits Azerbaijan`s Guba region
Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). A delegation of Romania`s leading Democratic Liberal Party led by Mayor of Bucharest`s Sector 2 and vice-president of Romanian Municipalities Association Nekulay Ontsanu visited Guba region of Azerbaijan.
The Romanian delegation was welcomed by Deputy Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Mubariz Gurbanli, Guba Governor Rauf Habibov, and chairman of the YAP`s Guba office Adalat Nabiyev in the region`s Olympic Complex.
Guba Governor briefed the Romanian delegation on the history of the region, construction and improvement work. He noted members of 27 ethnic groups live peacefully in Guba and underlined “Azerbaijan is a tolerant country”.
In turn, Ontsanu noted he witnessed speedy development in Azerbaijan. He added that they are happy to see achievements gained by Azerbaijan in recent years.
The delegation visited “Qədim Quba” carpet-weaving enterprise.
