Iran is keen in expansion of relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres of cooperation, deputy foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohsun Eminzadeh stated at the news conference held on 16 January. At his words, in the course of the held meetings, discussed was a range of issues of mutual interest.

Deputy minister of MFA of IRI expressed gratitude to the people of Azerbaijan for attention and assistance rendered in connection with the latest quakes in Iran.

Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the Iranian diplomat said that Iran’s position is unchanged and adheres territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

As to opening of the consulate of Azerbaijan in Tebriz, Mr. Eminzadeh said the problem delays due to technical issues.
