Deputy speaker of Azerbaijan`s parliament meets newly appointed ambassador of Switzerland
Baku, February 16 (AZERTAC). Deputy speaker of Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova met with newly appointed ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Sabine Ulman Shaban.
Mrs. Muradova said reciprocal visits of the chairmen of parliaments of two countries would serve the further strengthening of the relations. She said negotiations President Ilham Aliyev has held with Swiss leadership during the Davos forum created a strong basis for further cooperation.
Ms. Shaban hailed the reforms in Azerbaijan adding she will make a great contribution to cooperation between the two countries. The diplomat praised the country`s good results in oil production as an important factor for the future of the country. She stressed the readiness of Switzerland to render any assistance in resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict as a sore problem for rapidly developing country.
The sides also hailed the activity of friendship groups in both countries` parliaments and significance of reciprocal visits of parliamentary delegations.
