DONATION OF UKRAINE TO INVALIDS OF AZERBAIJAN
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ukrainian Minister cordially congratulated the ambassador on Ilham Aliyev’s election as the President of Azerbaijan Republic and expressed his determination that new head of the state will continue Heydar Aliyev’s course to build up prosperous Azerbaijan and as a son of Ukrainian nation, he would promote the development and strengthening of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations. The minister shared his impressions on his meetings with his colleague Ali Nagiyev, and parliamentarians. But he was mostly impressed by his meeting with Ilham Aliyev when he was Prime Minister then.
Ambassador Talat Aliyev thanked Mikhail Papiyev for the gesture of good will. He said that there were thousands of disabled in Azerbaijan because of Armenian aggression and wheel chairs will be in need. Azerbaijani diplomat suggested finding a joint venture with “Ukrprotez”. Today, invalid wheelchairs are produced in Lvov, which are up to world standards.
