EUROPEAN COMMISSION MANAGERS VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN ENDED
Managers Rachel McGowan, Bodil Person and Leonardo Kalkanio visited Azerbaijan to implement the four projects of the national action programs of TACIS, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from the Coordinating Bureau of EU technical assistance program to Azerbaijan.
Ms. Govan attended official opening of the project “Support of the Ministry for Economic Development of Azerbaijan” and discussed some issues related to start of project “Promotion in realization of the agreement on partnership and cooperation – Phase II”.
Mrs. Person familiarized with the course of implementation of the inter-governmental project “Support of the national coordinating bureaus of TACIS”. Mr. Kalkanio arrived to participate at the official opening of the project “Modernization of tax system” and familiarize with the course of realization of the project on restructuring of the office of Cabinet of the Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic.
Representatives of the European Commission have also met with the national coordinator of EC technical assistance program to Azerbaijan, Minister for Economic Development Farhad Aliyev, executive director of the coordinating bureau Asgar Alakbarov, as well as recipients of the projects.
