European Gas Conference kicks off in Vienna
They will debate crucial issues such as security of supply, diversification of sources, the effects of legislation, how the post-financial crisis has affected the market, how to overcome the current oversupply and the impact of the de-coupling of oil and gas prices and the emergence of short term contracts.
Also the participants will examine the changing dynamics of the European gas market and understand the advantages of uniting North, East, South, West and Central Europe to present a comprehensive pan-European view, facilitating the creation of a single, free gas market; hear the latest developments in unconventional gas, and understand the roadmap and effects Shale gas will have on the natural gas market in Europe.
The conference will run till January 29.
