EuroVolley 2026 Women: Azerbaijan beat Portugal in group C opener

Azerbaijan’s women’s volleyball team opened their European Championship campaign with a 3-1 victory over Portugal in Baku.
The national team will continue its group stage performance on August 23, taking on the Spanish national team at the National Gymnastics Arena.
Group C features intense competition among six nations: Azerbaijan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Romania. The group stage matches in Baku will run through August 28.
