EVIDENCE OF ETERNAL HONOR TO MEMORY OF SHAHIDS
A meeting has been held in Caucasian Moslems Clerical Office to discuss actions to be taken on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of January 20 tragedy. Addressing the religious figures, Kazis, representatives to the regions of Azerbaijan, sheik ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh said the special executive order by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on commemoration indicated that the memory of shahids who had given their lives for our state independence and happy future of Azerbaijani people is eternal and dear. Noting that shahidism is the highest spiritual acme in Islam, he extended his condolences to the families of shahids, all the people pf Azerbaijan and especially emphasized that they will never be forgotten. On the instruction of the sheik ul-Islam, on the day of 14th anniversary of the January 20 events, the Koran will be read in all the mosques of Azerbaijan, and ehsans will be given in the bright memory of our shahids.
