Satellite Transmission of AzTV /Azerbaijan State Television/ programs within the Russian territory, carried out since early 2003, is warmly welcomed by Azerbaijani compatriots. According to the “Multisat” Company, the number of Azerbaijanis installing satellite antennas to watch AzTV programs is increasing daily. At present, just “Multisat” has installed over 15 thousand antennas, while the audience is estimated at thousands. Along with the private persons, satellite antennas were installed in the Azerbaijani embassy, All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress, regional offices of the Azerbaijani Diaspora.

As noted, Azerbaijanis residing in Russia highly appreciate the possibility to keep up with the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan through AzTV. They got the chance to introduce the growing generation to the national culture, traditions, native language, music, etc.
