Film about Hitler`s youth released in Germany
Baku, March 4 (AZERTAC). A movie directed by the Swiss Urs Odermatt “Mein Kampf” on the youthful years of Adolf Hitler in Vienna, went to rent on March 3 in German. The film is based on the play by George Tabori, first staged in 1987. The play has since enjoyed the same success in Germany.
On a plot of a young Adolf Hitler came to Vienna to attend the Academy of Arts. He takes up residence in a homeless and divides the shelter with two Viennese Jews - trader Bibles Schlomo Herzl, which, in addition to Bibles, selling pornography, and the crazy chef named Lobkowicz , who imagines himself a god.
Shlomo feel the need to help the boy and took Hitler under his wing: he prepares, washes, looks after the appearance and even mows his mustache, the first giving them a characteristic “Hitler” form. He devotes a young man in his plans, saying that writing a book “My Life”, a name which he, however, it seems catchy enough, and eventually he changes it to “Mein Kampf”.
Shlomo consoles Hitler after he failed a second time on exams at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, and even attempted suicide. He gives him advice to try his hand at politics. The young Hitler quickly converges with the extreme right and soon becomes their leader.
In the role of Hitler`s starred a young actor Tom Schilling, which is to match the image of Hitler in Vienna period, has lost 10 kilograms and has mastered the dialect. As conceived by the director, the film should be as authentic. German Society for Evaluation of film and media production (Deutsche Film-und Medienbewertung-FBW), which consists of 70 experts from all German states have already assigned the film rated “especially valuable” (besonders wertvoll).
