First Lady of Azerbaijan meets US science envoy
Baku, March 10 (AZERTAC). First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva met Thursday with visiting US President`s science envoy Dr. Alice Gast
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed assurance the US delegation`s visit would be successful. She briefed them on increasing potential of the country, adding Azerbaijan is the region`s fastest growing economy. The First Lady noted great attention is paid to development of science, education and technology in the country.
Mehriban Aliyeva pointed out the state is keen on expanding youth and children study abroad programs. She noted using American experience in education is important for Azerbaijan. Aliyeva said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is ready for scientific and educational cooperation.
For her part, Alice Gast underlined the importance of projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in not only Azerbaijan but also other countries.
