FM of Azerbaijan meets Speaker of Lithuanian Seim
Baku, February 9 (AZERTAC). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov today met with the delegation led by the Speaker of Lithuanian Seim Irena Degutienė.
The sides noted existent potential for bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in particular in the fields of tourism, energy, agriculture.
Touching upon the situation in region, E. Mammaddyarov said the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict seriously impedes development of the South Caucasus.
The Minister stressed importance of fair and clear stance of the world community related to the occupation of the Azerbaijani lands by Armenia.
Speaker of Lithuanian Seim said her country supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan noting that some 50 parliamentarians of the Lithuanian Seim have prepared a Draft resolution on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Mrs. Irena Degutienė wished quick settlement of the conflict underlining necessity of increasing of world community’s efforts for solution of the problem.
