Foreign delegations visit Azerpocht
Baku, November 26 (AZERTAC). A number of meetings were held these days with foreign delegations in Azerpocht LLC of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, during the week a delegation headed by Secretary General of the Pan-African Postal Union Rhoda Masaviru and Director General of Kyrgyz State Mail Yusuf Turgunbayev visited Azerpocht and met with the Director General of Azerpocht Gambar Baybalayev. In the course of discussion, G. Beybalayev informed the guests in detail about the activities of Azerbaijani mail, and spoke of the project Development of financial services, which is implemented by Azerbaijani Government together with the World Bank. The visitors were also shown a presentation on the financial services provided in Azerpocht. Furthermore, the guests visited post offices, where they personally familiarized themselves with the services rendered to the population.
Besides that, a working meeting between specialists of postal administrations of Azerbaijan and Germany was organized in Azerpocht. During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the development of international mail, interesting proposals and recommendations were presented. The sides noted the high level of relations between the two countries, and it was underlined that 30 percent of international shipments incoming to Azerbaijan, is realized through the German mail.
