Foreign Ministry warns Azerbaijan`s nationals over recent Egypt unrest
Baku, January 31 (AZERTAC). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued a warning over recent developments in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The information posted on the ministry`s official website says anti-government unrest in Egypt began in late January. Protests left many people dead and wounded. The Egyptian government declared a state of emergency in the country with curfew from 16:00 to 8:00.
The Ministry recommended Azerbaijan nationals to take the abovementioned into consideration, be careful and cancel their travels if not important.
The Ministry strongly advised to cancel travels to Cairo, Aswan and Luxor unless necessary.
The message urged Azerbaijanis living in Egypt on temporary and permanent basis to abide by the existing rules, avoid getting involved in any riots and appeal to the embassy of Azerbaijan if any problem occurs.
