Gabala opens summer school camp for student leaders from CIS countries
Baku, August 10 (AZERTAC). A summer school camp for student leaders of the CIS countries opened at the “Seven Beuties” resort center in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
The school camp has been organized with support of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations` Union (ASYOU), the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation of the CIS member states and the Ministry of Youth and Sport.
Azerbaijani deputy minister of Youth and Sport Intigam Babayev, MP Fattah Heydarov, chairman of ASYOU Shahin Ismayilov, Gabala governor Sabuhi Abdullayev made speeches in the event held to the effect on Tuesday. The speakers underlined the government`s attention and care to the youth stressing the importance of the summer camp organized for the first time for students of CIS countries.
The camp to last till Saturday brought together 75 students from Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Belarus. The students were divided into four teams: “Baku”, “Nakhchivan”, “Shusha” and “Ganja”.
Foreign student will be informed on Azerbaijan`s truths, history, culture, national cuisine, traditions and customs, education and country`s tourism potential.
Ambassadors of the CIS member states to Azerbaijan and MPs are expected to meet youth in the camp.
Winners will be awarded and all students will be presented certificates.
