Central TV channel / ZDF/ of Germany within past two weeks invited audience by means of telephone to name the very eminent and progressive person of the German nation of all times.

2,9 million citizens of the country attended the phone voting, according to which, the first ten names of persons will forever stay in the history of Germany.

Conrad Adenauer, the first Federal Chancellor of FRG after World War II, took the first place with 220 thousand of votes, reformer of German national church, translator of the Bible into German, founder of Protestantism Martin Luther - the second, the founder of scientific communism Charles Marx – the third. The 4-10th places were given to the founders of the secret anti-fascist organizations, “The White Rose”, sister and brother - Sofia and Hans Scholl, ex-Federal Chancellor Willie Brandt, great composer Bach, philosopher, poet and statesman Gohethe, founder of typography Guttenberg, “Iron Chancellor” of Germany Bismarck and genius scientist, author of theory of relativity Albert Einstein.

Ex-Federal Chancellor Helmut Col - the architect of integration and restoration of unity of Germany took the 13th place.
