Heydar Aliyev Lyceum opens in Igdir
Baku, May 2 (AZERTAC). A lyceum named after national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev has opened in the Turkish province of Igdir.
Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening ceremony.
The Turkish PM said “it is very important for me to attend this ceremony.”
“We are pleased with the work of the lyceum which bears the name of Heydar Aliyev, the pride of friendly, brotherly Azerbaijan, our pride, the author of the words “we are two states, one nation,” the Prime Minister said.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faiq Bagirov said he is proud to participate in the opening of a modern educational complex named after Heydar Aliyev.
The ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility was cut. The Prime Minister, Ambassador and other guests familiarized themselves with the lyceum.
The lyceum has 16 classrooms, labs, sports hall and library. A total of 234 pupils studies at the facility.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his daughter posed for photographs together with pupils of the lyceum.
