As was informed to AzerTAj from the embassy of Azerbaijan in Saudi Arabia, making hajj to Mecca, the Azerbaijan pilgrims on February 3-4, have taken part in the ceremony of respect of the bright memory of the national leader, outstanding statesman of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and given on this case e’hsan. Organizing the ceremony, head of the Caucasus Moslems, sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh has read a pray to rest soul of the deceased, together with pilgrims has made namaz. The sheikh-ul-Islam who has addressed to pilgrims, told: “While there is an independent Azerbaijan state, Azerbaijan people, memory of Heydar Aliyev will live in the hearts. Death of such person as Heydar Aliyev, is a huge loss for us, for the Moslems. We were always grateful to Heydar Aliyev and we shall esteem faithfully his memory for that sensitive attitude which he had for believers of our country, for special merits in the cause of protection of cultural wealth of our people. Let Allah rest his soul in peace”.
The head of inter-parliamentary group of Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia friendship, Member of Parliament Fattah Heydarov speaking of Heydar Aliyev’s lifetime, emphasized that he is an example for other politicians.
The plenipotentiary ambassador of Azerbaijan in Saudi Arabia Elman Arasli reminded that in 1994, President Heydar Aliyev has visited this country, has visited sacred places, held warm meetings with the leadership of the country. Having emphasized that the said visit has laid foundation for brotherly relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, the Ambassador told that representatives of political and public circles of Saudi Arabia always esteem the bright memory of the great Azerbaijani national leader.
