In this letter, I want to express my gratitude to You and Your Government for support in the construction of the state-of-the-art semi-submersible rig. Everybody knows that the implementation of such a project became possible thanks exactly to your strong leadership, stable support and inviolable belief in future of the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan.
The construction of the new rig exemplifies the possibility to achieve great successes due to mutual understanding and co-operation between the government, international oil –gas companies and numerous subcontractors of Azerbaijan and foreign countries.
Thanks to stable normative-legal base and tax conditions that are an integral part of development of oil and gas industry, Azerbaijan has managed to attract for exploration and development of energy resources numerous foreign companies - including Exxon Mobile - operating overseas.
One of the main objectives of your activity is ensuring full participation of the citizens in exploration of natural resources of Azerbaijan. Construction of the new drilling rig is an excellent example of the application of this policy. Hundreds of specialists of Azerbaijan were taking part in the construction of the rig. Its exploitation to be realized by local employees, will allow providing citizens of your country with good and profitable working places in the future.
Successful completion of the project is one of the steps to promote Azerbaijan to take the leading position in world oil and gas industry, and process of creation of the firm base for further economic development of the country.
