ILHAM ALIYEV’S ELECTION AS PRESIDENT WELCOMED WITH SYMPATHY IN FRANCE
Ilham Aliyev’s victory at the October 15 Presidential elections in Azerbaijan has stirred up deep resonance in France, and has been welcomed with great satisfaction. A lot of telephone calls to the embassy of Azerbaijan in Paris and congratulation letters from official circles and private citizens, members of Azerbaijani Diaspora and people who study in French universities. They congratulated Ilham Aliyev - worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev’s political course - on the emphatic victory and stated they support his program of the country’s development and its foreign policy.
