Information Computing Center becomes winner of quiz show Virtual Ring
Baku, December 7 (AZERTAC). The team of the Information Computing Center (ICC) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology became a winner in the intellectual game show Virtual Ring realized by the Ministry with the Public Television on the occasion of December 6 - the professional holiday of ICT workers.
The game was attended by teams representing agencies and associations of the Ministry.
The game was broadcasted on Public Television on December 6.
The teams representing Aztelekom Production Association (PA), Baku Telephone Communications Production Association, Azerpocht LLC, Teleradio Production Association and Information Computing Centre took part in the quiz.
According to results of the first round, teams from ICC and Aztelekom PA scored the highest number of points and qualified for the finals. In the final round, ICC team proved to be stronger than Aztelekom team.
The Virtual Ring is a joint project of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and Public Television, and has been broadcasted on ITV for several seasons. It aims to familiarize the general public, in particular, youth with knowledge in the sphere of information and communication technologies (ICT), information society as well as providing educative information on socio-economic development, history, geography, science, culture, art and well-known people of Azerbaijan.
Moreover, the quiz aimed at increasing the horizons of knowledge and logical thinking of young people.
