International Press Institute interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan
Baku, February 25 (AZERTAC). The International Press Institute (IPI) delegation held press conference on the outcomes of a visit to Azerbaijan in International Press Center today in Baku.
IPI director Alison Bethel McKenzie and Press and Communications Manager Anthony Mills held efficient meetings with the state officials, media and civil society representatives during the visit.
Mrs. McKenzie noted that IPI is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan, highly praising the development of the press sphere in Azerbaijan.
The director of IPI stressed that their organization is pleased with the activity of the Fund on State Support for Mass Media under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.
IPI Press and Communications Manager Anthony Mills spoke about the activity of the IPI and noted the significance to extend relations between Azerbaijan and IPI.
Mr. Mills informed on the defamation law project which was discussed in the meetings with the state officials of Azerbaijan and praised the progress on the issue.
