ISRAELI AZERBAIJANIS SUPPORT HEYDAR ALIYEV’S SUCCESSOR
The passing away of nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev deeply saddened Israeli Azerbaijanis. The telegram on behalf of Israeli Azerbaijanis sent by Khagani Zeynalov to AZERTAG says: “With deep sorrow Azerbaijanis working in Israel have learned of the demise of the world famous politician, extremely skilled and talented head of State – Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev was a support for not only Azerbaijanis residing in Israel but also those residing all over the world. On this sad occasion, the Israeli Azerbaijanis extend their condolences to the President and the people of Azerbaijan. May God rest soul in peace.”
The compatriots adopted an appeal to the people of Azerbaijan and those residing abroad. The appeal says: “Azerbaijan has friendly relations with Israel and, it may be said, with all countries around the world. Heydar Aliyev’s services in establishing and developing these ties are great. The course of this great man will be continued by his successor. Azerbaijan people and millions of Azerbaijanis should close ranks around this successor – Ilham Aliyev. Our salvation is in unity around Heydar Aliyev’s ideas.”
