Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman hails tolerance towards Jewish community in Azerbaijan

The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Nahshon has commended tolerance towards the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
He said Azerbaijan and Israel enjoy friendly ties in all areas, particularly in political and economic ones. “Thousands of Jews living in Azerbaijan play a key role in strengthening the relations between the two countries. The attitude towards the Jewish community in the country demonstrates how tolerant Azerbaijan is.”
He pointed to “close” dialogue between the two countries, and also stressed the importance of energy cooperation.
The spokesperson also touched upon Israel-Turkey relations, and highlighted Turkey`s importance to the whole region.
He noted that good relations between Israel and Turkey would contribute to ensuring stability in the region.
