Istanbul hosts OIC Young Leaders Summit

Istanbul hosts the Summit of Young Leaders of the OIC member states.
The event brings together ministers of Turkey, Malaysia, UAE and OIC member states, as well as representatives of international organizations, Muslim youth, Nobel Prize winners and journalists. Azerbaijan`s minister of youth and sport Azad Rahimov attends the Summit.
The two-day Summit aims to build bridges between Muslim youth from different countries and the youth and sports ministries of member states will coordinate the events at the summit, which will focus on developing strategic policies to address the youth's problems.
Addressing the event, minister Rahimov highlighted “successes” of the youth policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev. He stressed the importance of the conference “The Youth for Alliance of Civilizations” held under the leadership of Azerbaijan`s first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
The summit participants watched a film about the Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Azerbaijan.
