Italy hosts Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium

The 14th Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium was held in Venice, Italy, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

The main agenda of the symposium was to promote countries' commitments to protecting the underwater environment and ensuring security in this domain.

A representative from the Military Attaché Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Italy attended the event at the invitation of Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy.

Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defense of Italy, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, extending his greetings to the attendees.

The Symposium was attended by commanders of naval forces from approximately 100 countries, along with representatives from around 400 maritime organizations.
