Jordan-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group set up
Baku, July 5 (AZERTAC). The Jordan-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group has been set up in the Jordan parliament, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Jordan said.
First secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy Kanan Murtuzov has met with the chairman and members of the friendship group.
Murtuzov briefed the friendship group representatives on achievements of Azerbaijan over 20 years of independence, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict as well as current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan. He noted the importance of development of inter-parliamentary ties.
Chairman of friendship group Hadban praised the cooperation between the two countries and expressed his confidence that friendship groups in both countries` parliaments would contribute to deepening ties.
During the meeting, the sides agreed on organizing the reciprocal visits of members of the parliamentary friendship groups.
The parties also exchanged views on situation in South Caucasus, negotiations process to settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, current processes in Northern Africa and Middle East, as well as situation in Jordan and other issues.
