“KARAZHANBASMUNAI” PLANS TO TRANSPORT OVER 50% OF BTC OIL
According to the date provided by the auctioneers of the BTC pipeline, the construction should be completed in December 2004, and I think that up to commissioning of the pipeline we can sign an agreement on transportation of our oil, O’Mara stressed. He considers that “currently the said direction (Baku-Ceyhan) is the most profitable for the Company, because transportation of oil is suggested in reasonable limits”.
At his words, cost of transportation of oil from Karazhanbas to Samara makes up 45 USD per ton, to Mahachgala – 40 USD per tone, through the pipeline of KTK – 56 USD per ton. Meanwhile, tariff for transportation of the oil through BTC pipeline is proposed at 28-32 USD.
