Korean KOICA, Azerbaijan`s “Azərsu” company sign Protocol of Discussion
Baku, September 19 (AZERTAC). The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and “Azersu” company signed a Protocol of Discussion on “Establishment of Water Supply and Sanitation System in Kurdakhany district in the Absheron Peninsula” project.
The aim of the project is to provide water supply and sewerage system in Kurdakhani Settlement in the Absheron peninsula and improve environment here. The Project will support the Azerbaijani government`s efforts towards development of alternative water resources and adaptation to climate change.
KOICA will provide the detailed design, construction and construction oversight of water supply and sanitation system in the Kurdakhani settlement; provision of equipment and materials necessary for the implementation of the Project; dispatch of Korean experts to Azerbaijan to provide technical advice for the implementation of the Project; invitation of Azerbaijani officials and specialists for the training program in Korea.
The project will cover 2011-2014 years.
KOICA was founded as a government agency on April 1, 1991, to maximize the effectiveness of Korea`s grant aid programs for developing countries by implementing the government`s grant aid and technical cooperation programs.
