KURDAMIR REGIONAL ORGANIZATION OF JUSTICE PARTY STOPPED ITS ACTIVITIES
Statement
Of Kurdamir Regional organization of the Justice Party of Azerbaijan
On October 15, our people, having shown high activeness at the Presidential elections held in transparent and democratic conditions, expressed freely its will. Fair, transparent and democratic elections were acknowledged not only by us but by majority of foreign monitors as well.
A nominee of our party was participating at the elections. However, in this struggle, Prime Minister Mr. Ilham Aliyev was elected as a President of our country by majority of votes.
We were expecting that in Azerbaijan, as well as in all civilized states, Presidential contenders will gather after the elections congratulate the winner and express their wishes in the name of happy future of our people.
Unfortunately, some oppositional parties defeated at the elections, particularly, Musavat, Umid and Democratic Party, not taking into account the will of people, provoked people to civil unrest and confrontation. There was bloodshed, innocent people were injured, and property of the state and citizens was damaged.
Expressing a protest against this outrage, we members of the Kurdamir regional organization of the oppositional party of Justice, hold up our activities and state on our joining the Yeni Azerbaijan Party.
