Latvia`s population decreased by 1,900 persons in June

Baku, August 16 (AZERTAC). At end-July, Latvia`s population stood at 2.2169 million, which is 1,900 persons less than at end-June, according to the Central Statistical Bureau`s data.

At end-June, Latvia`s population was 2.2188 million.

At end-July 2010, Latvia`s population was 2.2392 million, which is 22,300 persons more than this year.

In July 2009, Latvia`s population was 2.2555 million, 38,600 persons less than this year.

In January 2011, Latvia`s population stood at 2.2296 million, which means that it decreased by 12,700 persons over the past seven months.

As reported, information on 1.9 million residents was collected during the first two rounds of the nationwide census. The data on the remaining 300,000 residents is still being collected. The official results will be announced at the end of this year.
