Launch of passenger train on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway due in August

The passenger transportation through the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway will be launched in August, according to the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) company.
Fares for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars-Ankara-Baku route vary from approximately 97 to 220 manats depending on the class chosen. At the initial stage, the train will run once a week.
The train of ten carriages ordered by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and made by Swiss Stadler Rail Group will carry passengers.
