Baku, September 14, AZERTAC
Marco Verratti on Wednesday moved to Qatari side Al-Arabi from Paris St Germain, according to Anadolu Agency.
"The Al Arabi Club management has signed a contract with the Italian international star Marco Verratti, coming from Paris Saint-Germain, for a period of three years, thus concluding the number of our team’s professionals for the 2023-2024 sports season," Al Arabi Club said in a statement.
Verratti won nine league titles, along with six French Cups as a Paris Saint-Germain player.
Meanwhile, the 30-year ended a glittering 11-year stay with the Parisians.
In a statement, Paris Saint-Germain heaped praises on Verratti, saying: "An extraordinary reader of the game as well as an excellent ball winner, Verratti has also shone with his national team since making his debut for them in 2012.”
The financial details of the deal, however, were not disclosed.
