Maximilian Ibrahimović joins Ajax on loan
Baku, January 14, AZERTAC
Ajax has reached an agreement with Maximilian Ibrahimović and AC Milan on the loan of the nineteen-year-old forward, according to the official website of the club.
The loan agreement runs for six months, until the end of this season. The agreement includes an option to buy for Ajax.
Ibrahimović (Lund, Sweden, September 22, 2006) moved from Hammarby IF's youth academy to AC Milan's youth academy in 2022. Over the past six months, the right-footed player featured for Milan Futuro, the second team that competes in the Italian Serie D.
Director of Football Marijn Beuker: "We are very pleased with the arrival of Maximilian. He is a talented forward with a good sense of positioning in and around the penalty area, and he has strong goal-oriented finishing. He is skilful with his dribbling and, above all, has a great winner’s mentality and training attitude."
"He will initially mainly get his playing minutes with Ajax U23 and will regularly move between Ajax U23 and the first team during the season, so that he can get used to the higher level and the intensity of Ajax 1. Maximilian is a player with a lot of potential, and we hope that in time he can become a permanent part of Ajax 1’s attack."
