MEDICINES TO BEAR HOLOGRAMS SINCE EARLY FEBRUARY
The medicines labeled with holograms of the Health Ministry will be sold since February 1. This action results from the presidential decree “On measures for acceleration of the socio-economic development in Azerbaijan Republic” and implies the protection of people’s health by production and import of the high quality production and medicine facilities. All these facilities will be tested in the Central Control Lab of the Health Ministry. The Company “Cadex” of Canada has won the tender for production of the holograms. The special technology will prevent from counterfeiting as special signs are left on the medicines when tearing off the hologram. The lab officers provided with relevant control devices will be inspecting the wholesale warehouses.
As to the lab’s effectiveness, representative of the Health Ministry stressed that lab officers have found 50 thousand bad medicines. To this end, a special video clip was shot to inform the people in Azerbaijan.
Health Ministry also ordered the clinics to conduct polls in order to detect medicines, which has side effect on the patients.
