MEETING IN THE MILLI MAJLIS
Having greeted warmly the guest, Murtuz Alasgarov announced that the government of Azerbaijan has taken all necessary actions to hold democratic and transparent Presidential elections in the country. Election Code corresponding to all international norms has been passed in the country. Underlining that these elections are very important for the country, Chairman of the Milli Majlis pointed out that this process would be monitored by about one thousand of international and 42 thousand of local observers.
Touching upon Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, Chairman of the parliament said that we pay a special attention to the development of relations with fraternal country.
Highly appraising the role of Turkey in settlement of the most painful problem of Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Murtuz Alsgarov stressed the importance of a serious approach to this issue on behalf of the BSECO PA.
Salikh Kapusuz said he arrived in Azerbaijan to monitor the elections and said that the current campaign is of special significance for Azerbaijan. Today, the attention of the whole international public is fixed on Azerbaijan, I believe that the elections will be held in democratic and transparent situation. Salikh Kapusuz underlined that Turkey understands problems of Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be resolved within the framework of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
