MEETING WITH STUDENTS HELD AT MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
Deputy Minister Elmar Gasimov told of the importance of Azerbaijan-American ties in the education sphere.
He stressed that successful manpower policy initiated by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev had become the reason of rapid integration of Azerbaijan into the world community. E. Gasimov noted that over 800 Azerbaijani citizens obtained an education in the US. Universities.
“Azerbaijani nationwide leader opened wide perspectives for overall development of independent Azerbaijan and we are grateful to him” the deputy minister said.
US embassy representatives noted that US administration is interested in developing friendly and partnership relations with Azerbaijan and young specialists will not only study but also take an active part in the cultural life.
Then, the Americans said that all expenses for two-year education would be covered by the Department of State. According to them, up to 30 citizens of Azerbaijan will pursue their master’s degree.
In conclusion, students thanked the government of Azerbaijan and international organizations.
